Despite the predominance of calculators, the ability to quickly solve arithmetic problems is still important. A solid foundation in mental math gives kids confidence when learning mathematics. Many studies show that kids with stronger mental math skills find math more fun, allowing them to tackle more difficult problems in the higher grades.
Our fun casual games allow kids to practice during breaks and travel times, building their skills gradually and over time.
The games helps kids develop the following skills as recommended by the US Common Core State Standards:
-Apply properties of operations as strategies to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
-Determine the unknown whole number in an addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division equation relating three whole numbers.
-Fluently add, subtract, multiply, and divide using mental strategies.
-Understand the meaning of the equal sign, and determine if equations involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division are true or false.
